This special day was set aside as American Independence Day on the Fourth of July every year that represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America Let’s all have a blast, as the 4th of July demands barbecues, drinks, food, and friends. That’s if we’re lucky. OK, celebrate at home. Get take out ribs, baked beans, and a salad. Now you can party, or better yet, gather some friends for a home game of bridge. If all else fails, eat with your doggie or kitty, and make no bones about it. DO NOT give your pets any leftover bones or any kinds.
Enough already!
What a game! So often when played, we bridge bitch, complain, pitch the best cards to defeat contracts, lick our wounds, and maybe even jump for joy.
I remember a Tournament Game at CCBC, and was tearing up. How could I have made that dumb lead? Also, when I played the hand, I sucked. OK, it’s time to move on. Bridge isn’t my life, but it sure places on the top 10 list. I felt sad for a little while, but began to count my Blessings. Is so easy to focus on the negative. I love the saying “We’ll, you learn from your mistakes.” Are you Kiddin” So, I turned my negative thinking, plucked out the bad thoughts, and focused on so many things I take for granted. My mantra “Keep positive.”
There's always classes to help button-up your game. Check out our web site at Unit499.com.
